They led by seven at halftime and then scored 64 points in the second half to pull away and advance to the championship game against a West Liberty team that they beat twice during the regular season. They were both close games last they won, 92-83 in the first meeting and 76-72 in the second.

The Hilltoppers finished tied with the Golden Eagles at 17-3 in the conference, but lost the tiebreaker and came into the tournament as the two seed.
They have been playing great coming into the championship game, as they haven't lost since the Feb. 3 against the Golden Eagles.
They have rolled off 10 straight wins and are coming off a 103-82 win over Glenville State in the quarterfinals and a 77-71 win over Concord in the semifinals.
